The terrorist attack planned by Al Qaeda terrorists caused many psychological impacts in America. When the Airplanes had rashes into the significant twin towers, there were many people inside working. For many victims everything had occurred so fast. For Materson, he says “I went into shock” (Jost). “He cannot recall seeing anyone jump from the towers, but he learned what he came to realize were the sounds of the bodies hitting the pavement” (Jost). The aftermath of the attack was what really had impacted the victims the most, because many suffered from depression, traumatic stress, or flash black from the event. “In the United States many Americans look at the world differently since 9/11.
