10 Important facts about 9/11

One of the most important events in the 2000 was obviously the terrorist attack on 9/11

1 - Osama Bin Laden was NOT wanted by the FBI for the 9/11 attacks. 2 - The 911 commission was given extremely limited funds. $15 million was given to investigate 9/11. 3 - On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 people were killed in the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center 4 - 9/11 was not the first terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. A bombing in February of 1993 killed six people. 5 - The rescue and recovery clean-up of the 1.8 million tons of wreckage from the World Trade Center site took 9 months. 6 - 9/11 was the single largest loss of life from a foreign attack on American soil. 7 - 18 people were rescued alive from the rubble of the World Trade Center site. 8 - Cases of post-traumatic stress are common among 9/11 survivors and rescue workers 9 - Respiratory problems like asthma and lung inflammation developed at abnormal rates for those in and around the World Trade Center during and after the attacks. 10 - Passengers aboard United Flight 93, which had been delayed, heard about the previous airplane attacks in New York City and at the Pentagon attacks and attempted to retake control of the plane from hijackers. As a result, the hijacker’s deliberately crashed the plane in a Pennsylvania field instead of at their unknown target.
